Paired with a compatible Olympus camera, the OLYMPUS Image Share (OI.Share) smartphone app makes photography more enjoyable than ever. With this app, you can release the shutter remotely, then easily import photos from the camera to your smartphone and share your most inspiring moments with friends and family.

1. Easily import photos from the camera to your smartphone
Photos on the camera can be imported via Wi-Fi. You can also simply select photos on the camera to share ahead of time (Share Order Function) to easily and conveniently import photos.

2. Operate the camera from your smartphone
(1) Live View
OLYMPUS Image Share allows you to see the cameras Live View on your smartphone screen. It also lets you operate the camera from your smartphone -- touch your smartphone screen to specify the AF point or release the shutter. You can also adjust camera settings such as shooting mode (iAUTO, P, A, S, M or ART) and drive mode (Single, Burst and Self timer), as well as control the zoom for electronic zoom lenses.
(2) Remote Shutter
In addition, you can choose to control camera settings directly on the camera, and use the smartphone just for releasing the shutter, as if using remote cables. You can "half-press" on your smartphone screen to only focus, and "full-press" to release the shutter.

3. Easy Setup
All you need to do is use OI.Share to scan the QR code displayed on the rear monitor of a compatible camera to easily set up the initial wireless connection settings.
* When using a FlashAir card, use the FlashAir card connection information to connect from the smartphones Wi-Fi setting screen.

While I wish there wasnt the need to first set the camera up to broadcast then connect with the phone, once connected, the system works flawlessly. Very near tech!
I just installed this on a slow & clunky 5 year old iPad and it works great with my E-M1! (At least for what it does, anyway) Tips: 1: Start with the latest version of iOS and latest firmware on your camera. 2: RTFM! (Page 123 of the E-M1 manual, "Using the camera wireless lan function"). I chose a private connection. With the QR code dance and it just worked. 3: Have a good use case. Mine is Astrophotography. You get the best pictures looking straight up through the atmosphere. Sadly for a big telescope that puts the camera body at your knees. NOT very ergonomic. Also not touching the camera and using electronic shutter gets rid of camera shake which is a big deal when the telescope acts like a 4000mm super telephoto lens! 4: Have realistic expectations. This app gives you a nice big LiveView screen and control of basic camera settings like f/stop, shutter speed iso settings and autofocus point, plus the shutter button of course. It does not recreate the whole camera UI and all the camera controls are ignored when you use this app. For my needs it is almost perfect as it is. My one wish-list item would be the ability to magnify part of the image for manual focus adjustments. 5: Others have mentioned this but its worth repeating: the camera is the WiFi host and the iPad connects to it. Thats actually reasonable if you are taking pictures in the middle of nowhere, but it means the first time you use it you have to do a little dance: 1st: start the app and scan the QR code to set up the WiFi link. 2nd: exit the app and drop the WiFi link you used to download the App. 3rd: Connect to the camera (using the usual WiFi settings on the iPad) Then start the app and you should be ready to take it for a wireless drive.... I think this is the coolest thing ever and cant understand all the snarky 1 star reviews. Wildlife photographers are going to get a lot of milage out of this! But PLEASE give us the ability to magnify part of the image during LiveView before taking a picture. Pan and tilt would be nice but even if it was fixed to the middle of the frame it would still be *VERY* useful. Thanks!
Contrary to many reviews, I thankfully have never had any issues with this app, and it has always worked when I needed it to. I have it installed on two iOS devices that I use to pair with an EM5 MKII.
Its a bit strange (via its wifi)how this camera works with an iPhone but for my needs it did just fine so I give it four stars.
Those that are having problems with this app and the way it connects and shares videos and pictures between devices are obviously doing something wrong! I have had this app since pre ordering my TG-4, it has worked flawlessly and stays connected with my phone and iPads until I finish importing data!
Just installed the app and transferred 76 pics to my phone and it worked beautifully! Steps were easy to follow and the wifi connected right away. Pics look great, too!

Some bad moments

It doesnt work on my OMD EM5 MK2. It connects to my phone, but does not transfer files and does not work for shooting remotely.
Its not possible to focus during remote video. This makes it complete useless for video imo!
... not fully adopted to iOS 10, i.e. Multitasking on supported devices and not adopted to iPad Pro screen sizes.
whenever trying to install profile TG-4-P-BHG.... it says
The entire implementation of wifi and image share is very poor. It is so frustrating to use. From having to use two different menus on the camera to start the connection to the clunky interface, it is so aggravating, I just do it the old way and use a computer and card reader to transfer images. Seriously, why can I do more with images on my iPhone, and in a simpler way, than I can with an expensive Olympus camera body? It only has to do one thing!
Its very annoying. When I connected to my ep5 from iPhone 6s and used remote control, its just keep fail to communicate with camera, even just 1-5m distances. You should fix it ASAP
